The Mission

Ralston Community Theatre is a performing arts organization operating to provide quality entertainment at competitive prices. RCT’s specific intents are to further the Ralston and Greater Omaha community’s involvement in theatre, to provide an extension of the Ralston Public Schools performing arts program, and to foster public relations for the Ralston community.


The HistoryOriginally founded in 1979 as a community project through the Ralston Chamber of Commerce, Ralston Community Theatre was intended as an entertainment cornerstone around the 4th of July festivities in Ralston. Starting in the 1980’s Ralston Community Theatre was officially created, to specifically carry out our mission of furthering the art of musical theatre within the Ralston community. To this day we are dedicated to the production of high-quality musical theatre and the support of arts within the Greater Omaha Area. Continually recognized as a premier arts organization, Ralston Community Theatre looks forward to many more years serving the Greater Omaha community.


Who is Ralston Community Theatre?

Offering one main stage production in the summer and supplementary children’s programming throughout the year, Ralston Community Theater partners with Ralston Public Schools to make use of the state-of-the-art Ralston Performing Arts Center located inside of Ralston High School. Both our main stage production and children’s programming utilize this stunning space, engaging audience sizes of 500+. Our main stage production in the summer runs for three weeks, with three performances a week. Our Children’s Programming runs for one week with three performances.


Meet The Board

President: Jon Flower

Jon has been with Ralston Community Theater since 2012. During the day Jon works for FNBO as a Sr. Project Manager focusing on M&A activities and also serves as Adjunct Faculty for the Project Management Program at Bellevue University. Jon holds a Bachelor of Musical Theatre Performance from New School University and finished his Master’s in Business Administration and Project Management from Midland University in 2018. Formerly the President of WhyArts and Chair of FNBO’s young professional program, in addition to his volunteer activities Jon enjoys being active in the theatre community as both an actor and director. Most of all he enjoys spending time at home with his wife, daughter and dog, entertaining for friends and family.

Vice President: Liz Polivka

Liz has been with Ralston Community Theatre since 2009. During the day she works for Ralston Public Schools as an Alternative Curriculum Program (ACP) Special Education teacher. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education and Mild/ Moderate Special Education, and a Master’s in Teacher Education with a concentration area of learning disabilities, both from the University of Nebraska at Omaha. Liz enjoys being active with Ralston Community Theatre children’s production as well as house manager for the summer productions. She is very active in her church as well, and can often be found singing with the worship band. Liz also co-directs the yearly Christmas pageant at her church. Most of all Liz enjoys reading, spending time with family and friends, and being active in the community.

Secretary: Beth McGrath

Beth has been a Board Member of the Ralston Community Theater since 2008. She has taught English at Ralston High School since 1987 and has worked as a writing consultant for Metropolitan Community College since 2006. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in English and History from Nebraska Wesleyan University and a Master of Arts in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of Nebraska at Kearney. Her love of theater began with studying dance as a child and grew through experiences in high school theatre and community theater productions in Wayne Nebraska, acting and choreographing for both. She is married, has two adult children, and enjoys spending time with her two retired racing greyhounds.
